Welcome to the CoULD Registry
The purpose of the Congenital Upper Limb Differences (CoULD) Registry is to characterize the function and health status of children with congenital hand and upper limb differences, and to quantify improvements with non-operative and surgical care.
Our mission
We are a group of pediatric hand surgeons and medical researchers committed to improving the lives of children with hand and upper extremity differences. We believe that improvements in the quality of care can only be achieved through collaborative research, shared information, and a focus on patient-centered outcomes. The CoULD Registry was created to fulfill this vision.
Congenital hand and upper limb differences are relatively uncommon, and every child is unique. Our understanding of congenital differences of the upper limb has progressed slowly over the last 40 years, with information pieced together from smaller scientific reports, often from a single surgeon or hospital for a particular condition. Today, improvements in technology, scientific methods, and patient-centered outcome measures enable us to bring together patients, families, surgeons, and scientists to improve our understanding and treatment of congenital differences.
